A part of our Y10 Workplace Safari program we visited the head office of Pricewaterhouse Coopers accountancy firm in Spinningfields, Manchester. We learned about the various different pathways into accountancy, business consultancy and finance including degree level apprenticeships. Our pupils then worked as business consultants in small teams, identifying key problem areas for young people in Manchester, how they would assess data and technology in understanding the issue, and then presenting to the group their various solutions. Our “Atherton Youth” team were runners up out of six groups with their excellent ideas on how to improve young people’s mental health within the community!
