Y10 pupils have today enjoyed taking part in a social mobility workshop with his Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals service. Facilitated by Legal Advisors, Clerks and Legal students from Manchester Metropolitan University our pupils were introduced to a variety of careers within HMCTs including admin, judicial and legal roles. We learned about the different courts in the UK and abroad and the ways that the system has been designed to protect the most vulnerable in our society. The second part of the program will take place in January where pupils will take part in a mock trial. We hope this session has introduced pupils to careers in Legal and Finance which is a key growth sector for employment in Greater Manchester.
