AHS Careers has got off to a flying start this academic year with an intensive focus on Y11 and supporting them with their next steps for when they leave us next August. We have been spending one form time a week with our Careers Leader Mrs Doyle, researching careers, applying for college courses, and polishing up our CVs, and Ambitions appointments have been helping pupils explore these options further. A group of pupils visited Wigan and Leigh College last week to look at the facility whilst our school minibus is available in the next half term to take Y11 pupils to visit some other providers. Mock Interviews are scheduled to take place on Tuesday 19th December during which pupils will have an opportunity to improve their interview skills with stake holders from local businesses and colleges.
