Period 1 this morning was our first Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) lesson of the new school year and Year 9 and 10 were both working on real-world skills with dedicated lessons on banking and finance.
Year 9 are just starting to investigate the world of money and have been looking at the different banking products such as bank accounts, savings accounts and mortgages, and starting to understand the different stages of a person’s life and how these products may be used and needed.
Year 10 are now building on from the work they competed on this last year by looking in more detail about bank accounts and learning to read a bank statement. This will help our students to be as successful as they possibly can and help our students to protect themselves from financial problems and scams.
