We were proud to announce our winner of the 2024 Atherton Chess League this week. Well done to Josey who took first place in this fiercely fought out competition, snatching the title from last years champion by only a few points. Second place was awarded to James, last years champion and third place to Alex who had also played the highest number of games throughout the competition this year which was a massive achievement.
The chess league this year has been really popular and seen 31 staff and students compete to gain points over the course of spring term. Thank you to all that took part and made this a huge success.
