On Thursday the 18th April future year 10 and 11 students were invited to watch Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers at the Turnpike Theatre in Leigh. It was a fantastic local performance demonstrating some wonderful local talent within our community. Not only did the students and myself have the opportunity to watch a play that we are studying but we also had the chance to watch a previous Atherton High School student in her first performance away from her studies. Lola achieved exceptionally well in her GCSE Drama studies and has continued to grow into a very promising actor. We are very proud of her!
